What Is Plant-Based?
When I am asked the question – “What is Plant-based?” My answer is: Keep everything as close to the whole original form as possible. Thus, WFPB (whole food plant-based). If it ever had a face or mother leave it Alone – consider it poison.
- No Oil
- No Added Sugar
- Minimal Salt
- Stay Away From Processed Foods
- Stay Away From Refined Grains & Breads
Always look for whole grains when using pasta & flours.
This leaves you all the vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes (peas, beans, and lentils).
When asked, “What can I drink?”
- Plant-based Milk (almond, cashew, soy, and oat)
- Unsweetened Tea
- Decaffeinated Coffee.
